The Story Vault is a premium photo digitization and legacy preservation studio based in Calabasas and serving all of Southern California, including Thousand Oaks, Malibu, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Los Angeles, and Ventura County.

We specialize in professional photo scanning, film digitization, and slide conversion, helping families protect irreplaceable memories from the ever-present risks of wildfires, emergency evacuations, natural disasters, water damage, and the effects of time.

Visiting Our Offices & Appointments

With the assistance of The Story Vault, "Story Preservation" or "Memory Preservation" is the process of documenting the life, wisdom, lessons, and stories of an older loved one. This can be an older parent, relative, friend, or neighbor. We charge $40 for our customized 535 question & 12 chapter file. Your loved one's name will be marked on each page with a variety of deep and lighthearted questions that will provide you and future generations with a deeper understanding of them. According to research, 47% of Americans regret not documenting or recording conversations and stories from loved ones before they passed. We get it! It can be difficult to open these conversations, so we're the third party that guides you through the process. Our file is customized and editable. Meaning you or your loved one can document the answers to our questions at their own pace. Once completed, you can create as many digital copies of your loved one's documented legacy or send it back to us to create a physical bound version.

A Legacy Video is a documented preservation of your loved one's story, wisdom, memories, messages, etc. in video form. We offer multiple different types of legacy video services. Some can be like documentaries, while others focus on smaller and often forgotten parts of our lives. We even preserve the legacy of your pets! A Social Card is a card that connects you to another without the use of an app. We encourage our younger demographic to give out a card to the person of their choice when they are out and about in the wild...the real world. The Story Vault is here to bring back in-person connections. In a post-pandemic word, we have become even more distant from people in public. Each card has a different intention, and the goal is to give a card, with a pen if called for, and see if a connection blooms. It could be the start of a new story that would not have happened without the use of our cards. The cards are your conversation starters.
